Kapa Haka 2019
On the 20th of November 2019 Wainui beach school had their kapa haka festival. I peered through the audience as we were in the stage wing, waiting to start performing. We all started walking up, that made me proud to be at wainui. As our kaea Hunter started singing our school song, I spotted my parents. Before you know it we all started singing . When we finished, the boys went to their spots. We all came together to sing Haramai a Paoa, our second song.
The boys hakas where our school haka and the all blacks haka. As the boys where doing this, some of the girls were singing to it. After that we all sang Wainui E wich translated us together. I was by Bay, Seve and in front of me was Sophie. Once we sang that, to end it, and lead everybody off, we sang He Honore ,with the front row last to leave.
