🟡PBL P.E shed🟡

Hi, sorry I haven't been posting much... Well that is because I am now in a group called "PBL" (Project Based Learning) PBL is basically... Well... Is just making things better, like if your school tanks are looking quite plane, then just paint something on it! Their are only about 13 or 10 people that are doing it this term in our school. Me and my friends Kalya and Charlotte have buddied up, and we have decided to get our old P.E shed up and running again. (We will be painting the inside and everything!)  this blog post it the before, and my next blog about this will be the after!

LOCK DOWN LIFE

Lock down Life

For the last 2 months New Zealand has been in lock down. Our prime minister Jacinda Ardern refers to it as "bubbles" so every family has their own bubble and if they are in physically contacted with any other family they have to stay two meters away from them. Or else the bubbles pop! She also says that we have levels to stay in. Level 1 is when it's all normal no bubbles just all the same life. level 2 is when  business are open, no bubbles and so are schools but remember to stay clear. Level 3 is when all schools are closed some businesses are open and we get to make our bubbles a bit bigger but remember 2 meters. Finally level 4 is completely lock down and your not allowed to leave the house only if getting food. But esencial business are still running like super markes of post office. Lucky my family owns a beekeeping business so we have been working like usual.
It was fun spending more time with my family and doing online learning. We had different topics every week.

Week 1- ANZAC
Week 2- ANIMAL KINGDOM
week 3-WORLD FAMOUS
week 4- STORY TIME
back to school
week 5 & 6- OUR EARTH

I'm very happy to be back to school
I hope you liked this weekes blog post

Fish in a tree

Moana learning hub are reading a book called fish in a tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt. It's about a girl called Ally Nickerson. She has dyslexia and about how she coups with school. She has new friends a  new teacher and enemies.

we all had to create a piece of art that goes with a saying like this- Everyone is smart in different ways but if you judge a fish on it's abilities to climb a tree then it will spend the rest of it's life thinking it's stupid. Do you like?

RETRO TECH

This term our school focus is RETRO TECH. In Moana learner hub in our buzz groups we each had to chose a  number. out of one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine or ten. My buzz group got to chose first. We chose number 2. Avie popped it on the table and we each where amazed of what it was. Koka terri and koka ngaire were taking videos non stop all starting with the sign that said STEP RIGHT UP WHICH BOX WILL YOU CHOSE? For some reason I was scared to see what it was until we saw it. It was one of those hair bresser thing that laddies used in the olden days. That was the first time I have ever seen one! Well I have seen one on movie and all but that was the first time I have seen it in person.

The hair dryer was yellow and white. With clips that keep it together. Once you unclip them the top comes up and it folds up into the hair dryer and in the bottom there's the plug ans the cord. We think it could work!

Last week we went to the museum for a visit and electric city. With amazement electric city was just were the city started and you can just walk in and have a look. I learnt the New Zealand in one of the countries that is lacking in new technologie. But where getting there. Also that in the1800s our mayor went to visit the mayor of America and came back with a car a electric car to be exacted. So New Zealand is getting there and before you know it in 2030 we all will be using electric cars and bikes.(We also got a ride on the electric scooter!)

At the museum we all walked in and sat down on the mat. There was 1980s phones and music players, stuffed birds and segul's. The instructor (Anna) got some phones and let some of us try and figure out how to work them. After that we had a talk about what and how those phones work and iphones work. Also  what they did and what iphones can do how. Once we did that we had a look at a little olden day house. With old radios, kitchens and class's. In the class room there was lots of bird eggs, white boards and pitchers of Queen Victoria. Anna told us that people had to stay still for a minute to be able to take a photo. Some times you had to hold your kids heads so they don't move.
Once we came back we all had a go at writing with quills. (Pens made out of feathers) What we had to do was practice writing our name then get our good copy and write our name there as well as taking a photo of ourselves on a polaroid camera. Finally we came back for the museum and started working at school.
